The City of Pasadena offers a workshop designed to brief Pasadena businesses on the general requirements for doing business with the City, and help businesses prepare to compete for our formal solicitations. We will cover the various forms and boilerplate, and City requirements in the City’s competitive bidding and competitive selection processes respectively. Pasadena Water and Power wanted to make sure that local businesses are aware of the scheduled public presentations that they will be holding regarding the proposed water rate restructuring and water rate adjustments. PWP would be very glad to see you at these meetings and participating in the ongoing discussion about the proposed actions.

Cocktails from 26 restaurants and lounges compete to be named Pasadena's Favorite Cocktail, 2017

50 invited guests were treated to tasty tacos from El Cholo at the kick-off for the 20-17 SIP-tember Cocktail Bracket Challenge on Tuesday, August 15th. Co-hosted by El Cholo, Patron tequila and the Chamber, the party included a live taste-off three cocktails created for the event using Patron tequila. (Two are in the SIP-tember Cocktail Bracket Challenge, as well.)

The next phase of the City’s ban against the use of “Styrofoam™” or polystyrene materials such as cups, plates, bowls, meal-serving trays and take-out containers takes effect on August 22, 2017.  Restaurants and retailers doing business in Pasadena will no longer be able to sell or distribute food that uses such materials.  This is the second phase of the City’s polystyrene food packaging ban.  The first year’s ban applied only to City facilities, operations and permitted event
